Take Action to End Canada's Seal Hunt

The Issue

The 2009 International Day of Action for Seals is Sunday, March 15. For a list of rallies taking place on that day, see this list: http://www.harpseals.org/spreading_the_word/outreach/intl_day_of_action_2009.html

Visit Harpseals.org for more information on the hunt, and stay tuned to the Animal Rights blog at Change.org for updates, on the hunt and on the progress in ending it, as they become available.

And on the Day of Action or any other day, contact the politicians and entities in a position to end the hunt.

2. Please contact the EU Parliament and urge them to ban seal products from EU territory.

In the the link below, under the "Brief Request" section, ask them to "Please ban seal products from EU territory."

In the "Your Request" section, urge them to "Please ban products derived from seals from being imported into the EU, exported from it, or even transported through EU territory in Brussels on 1 April 2009."
