In a disappointing and tragic turn, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation has announced they will stop supporting breast cancer screening at Planned Parenthood centers across the country. Planned Parenthood helps low-income women across the country obtain the appropriate female-based healthcare that they need to live long, healthy lives.

Not providing breast cancer screenings goew AGAINST the mission of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation since they find breast cancer early and can lead to a full, early treatment. Further, though some find Planned Parenthood controversial, even the harshest critics do not speak out against the breast cancer screenings. Pulling this money simply hurts women who use Planned Parenthood as a health center with no PR benefit to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
