Why This Is Important

Congressman Alan Grayson introduced HR-4789 on March 10th on the floor of the House of Representatives.  This Bill does not require Federal Subsidies or set up a very costly whole new Federal Health System.  HR-4789 is a simple 4 page Bill that opens up Medicare so that any American or Permanent Resident may buy in.  This is the Public Option as a stand alone Bill.

Watch Congressman Grayson introduce his Bill and argue for the simplicity, no-cost-to-government solution to empower Americans to access High Quality Health Care.  No Senior on Medicare wants Congress to touch their program, as everyone loves it, yet it is only available to 1/8th of America.  All the Grayson Bill does is open up access to allow all Americans and Permanent Residents to buy in.

We do not need to review the simplicity of open access to Medicare for all. We all know that this will not cost the Government money. We all know that the Seniors on Medicare all love the program and do not want Congress to alter their benefits. We all know that a simple buy-in means Medicare will continue to be self supporting.
