Support the 2012 Bristol/Warren Proposed School Budget
Support the 2012 Bristol/Warren Proposed School Budget
The Issue
During these economic hard times it is incumbent upon the towns of Bristol and Warren to support their school system. A high performing, comprehensive school system is on the the strongest assets on which a town can rely. Young, vibrant and engaged families are attracted to such towns, contributing their talents and fiscal resources.
Currently the town budgets of Bristol and Warren maintain VERY healthy surpluses. One of the contributing factors to this fiscal condition is the limited contribution to education made by these two towns due to strong revenues allocated by the state. In fact Bristol/Warren is ranked 6th from the bottom in the state by percentage of tax dollars spent on education.
It is time for the towns to step up! If you believe in the Bristol Warren Regional School District, please let your voice be heard in support of the district's proposed budget request.
