Immigrants and their supporters have been working for Comprehensive Immigration Reform that benefits all of us since the election of President Obama. At last, Sen Bob Menendez has introduced a bill in the Senate that would provide the reform America wants. It gives undocumented a path to legalization and eventual citizenship, it reduces the long backlogs for family-based immigration, and it enhances our country’s security.

This petition is sponsored by the New York State Immigrant Action Fund. The NYSIAF was created through resoultion of the Board of Directors of the New York Immigration Coalition.

Please Support Sen. Menendez's Comprehensive Immigration Reform Proposal

Greetings,

I am writing in support of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform proposal introduced by Sen. Robert Menendez. The bill offers a rational solution to our country’s broken immigration system. By combining real immigration reform with enhanced border security measures, the bill addresses our country’s need to deal humanely with the 11 million undocumented immigrants living here while also ensuring the continued viability of the legal immigration system.

Enforcement-alone will never work as a policy for building a stronger America. We need to bring undocumented immigrants and their children out of the shadows, and provide them with a pathway to citizenship. We must end the long legal immigration backlogs, that separate families for years. And we must restore sanity to the civil discussion of immigration.

Please co-sponsor the Menendez bill and do all you can to work for it.
