Over the last few years, the Make Poverty History coalition have secured amazing and significant victories. Tireless campaigning and lobbying has seen a bipartisan commitment to doubling Australia’s aid program over the next few years.  

This money could mean the difference between life and death for many living in extreme poverty in developing countries.

This year could be the most crucial point so far in our fight for foreign aid. We need our elected representatives to help defend Australia’s aid budget and to demonstrate their commitment at the 2011 Federal Budget on May 10th.
