Soy is one of the top eight allergens in the US, and by including soy additives as part of their recipe, the Girl Scouts of the USA is excluding many girls from enjoying a celebratory experience. Also, by making the decision to subtract soy additives from their product, the Girl Scouts of the USA will start a nationwide trend and bring awareness to the unnecessary ubiquity of soy additives in our food.
