I do not understand why this purely cosmetic and horribly painful procedure is still available in vet clinics. It is literally removing a part of a cat's toe permanantly. Other than the traumatic pain and terrible infections that can occur, it literally takes away a cat's ability to defend themsleves, climb trees or fences, and basically just their ability to BE A CAT. Please help me to educate people on how inhumane this is and possibly stop vet clinics everywhere from performing it! Included is a video that I believe will enlighten people to what a declawing actually entails.
