All Sprint customers with the new HTC EVO are being assessed an additional $10 fee for owning the phone. The phone is advertised with tons of extra features allowing consumers to truly have a multi-faceted hand held device. The problem is the fee is being added in conjunction with already UNLIMITED DATA plan. If the plan is UNLIMITED as stated why would anyone be assessed an additional $10.00 per month for what they call, "More robust data....." They also stated, in a hypothetical situation, if your link to Sprint was cut off, say you chose not to utilize the network for data....you would still be assessed this fee just for owning the phone. Didn't they just say it was for robust data......??? If not using data we shouldn't be charged additional fees. Also they stated that they need to provide more quality speed and data to the device causing them to incur extra fees passed on to the customer.....yet most plans are unlimited???? In talking with Sprint they will assess this fee indefinitely to EVO customers ONLY. This is unjust!! When confronted with questions they offer attitude. They themselves have no idea why this is being charged to customers.....JUST WRONG!!! We need to stop this gouging......
