Stop Discrimination in North Dakota

Stop Discrimination in North Dakota
The Issue
Most people from out of state don't think about North Dakota at all. However, because of this, they don't see the huge human rights crisis that exists within the state. In the state of North Dakota, there exists an act that prevents discrimination in terms of jobs and housing because of race, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, religion, marital status, public assistance status, and the choice of participating in controversial lawful activity. Notice something? It is perfectly legal to discriminate against gay and transgender people in the state of North Dakota. What's more, in the first few paragraphs of the law, the government not only does it not state that gay and transgender people are a protected class, but the law says specifically that they are completely unprotected. In the last session of the North Dakota Congress, this topic was highly debated and the choice that would have extended human rights didn't pass. Please help to make it so that this time, the law goes through.
