Why This Is Important

STOP THE MELAKA ZOO ORANGUTAN HORROW SHOW

Melaka Zoo is located about two hours south of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This zoo has been repeatedly criticised in the past for its cruelty to orangutans, among other species.

Perhilitan is the government department responsible for enforcing the wildlife protection law, but it only ever does if pressured by the public to do so.

These orangutans will remain in their barbaric cages unless YOU join us in sending the letter to the Prime Minister. Each time the petition is signed the letter is automatically sent to him and some 38 other relevant officials, including ones at the zoo.

Dear Prime Minister,

How much longer will you allow these orangutans at Melaka Zoo to go on suffering before you

a) help them?

b) prosecute the zoo management for cruelty to these great apes?

The continued abuse of wild animals in Malaysian Zoos bring shame on you personally as well as Malaysia.

I have no desire to visit Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, while your country continues to abuse animals the way you do and the law protecting them is not enforced.

SHAME ON YOU PRIME MINISTER.
