I want to ask all elected members working inside our Nation’s Capital to please become aware of the following information. Many of you may find that what I have to say will affect your thinking and destroy a large amount of the false propaganda that the animal rights extremists of the HSUS and PETA have bombarded you with for the last 40+ years.
The enormous amount of amendments and taxpayer funded special interests and corporate handouts that have been attached to the Farm Bill are quite disgusting to say the least.
With that said I am here to speak regarding the amendment 2363 which in actuality is “the animal fighting spectator prohibition act HR 2492” and due to my allotted time I will limit my comments to the issue of this amendment being proposed by Representative McGovern from Massachusetts.
I am a gamecock farmer/rancher and I either have the God-given, constitutionally protected unalienable right to own, possess and harvest my gamecocks (livestock) by the same method of harvest that gamecocks have been harvested for more than 3,000 years, as I attempt to earn a living and provide for my family or there is no Constitution. Our Constitution was and is written to limit the government authority and ability to infringe on the God-given rights of Americans. This protective system was created to ensure that the minority could never be stripped of their God-given rights by the majority and/or by our government officials.
Yet in the case against the American gamecock farmers/ranchers our elected officials have in truth destroyed the constitutional limitations on our government because what they are advocating is to send government agents out to make raids, rip families apart, criminalize our animal agriculture industry because you don’t personally approve of the way gamecocks are harvested to deprive us of our pursuit of happiness and liberty and create situations where government agents that gamecock farmers/ranchers taxes pay for, may kill American citizens (gamecock farmers and ranchers) simply because we are a minority group using the excuse that the purpose of the government is to defend the chickens from the farmers and ranchers that own the chickens.
Gamecocks are not pets, gamecocks are livestock, livestock are property, the way that owners of livestock exercise their property rights and use their property is to harvest their property by the most economically profitable method possible. The unconstitutional law criminalizing the harvest of gamecocks lays a dangerous foundation “making it illegal for property owners to own, possess and/or use their property because the government's duty is to protect the property from the property owner" using such idiotic idea that the government’s role is to defend chickens even if it means killing the farmers and ranchers that own the chickens".
So I’d ask Representative McGovern to please tell us here in front of this committee “do I along with other gamecock owners across America have the God-given constitutionally protected right to own, possess and harvest our livestock (gamecocks) to earn a living and provide for our families or does your opinion and desire to protect our chickens from us take precedence in that we must be subjugated and forced into your opinion by Federal Law Enforcement agents?”
Even the President of the HSUS Wayne Pacelle has testified before the US Senate that “gamecocks are not for meat or for show, they are for battle. They are fighting cocks”. I agree 100% gamecocks are NOT for harvested for human consumption therefore there is NO significant governmental interest in regulating their method of harvest and/or the gamecock harvest industry.
There is a method of harvest for each species of livestock. Beef cattle are shot in the head with a gun, goats are hung by their back feet and their throats are cut, fish are thrown onto a block of ice to suffocate. Even within the same species you have different methods of harvest such as beef cattle versus dairy cattle, thoroughbred horses versus quarter horses, egg laying chickens versus broiler chickens versus game chickens. Each species of livestock is harvested by its own method of harvest, gamecock farmers and ranchers are simply farmers and ranchers that are attempting earn a living by harvesting our livestock in the same method of harvest that gamecocks have been harvested by for more than 3,000 years. The same method of harvest that gamecock farmers “George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, John Hancock and the vast majority of our founding fathers did”
The foundation of the UN Agenda 21 effort to destroy the God-given constitutionally protected private property rights of American’s and putting animals above human lives is being laid by the amendment on this bill making it illegal to attend a gamecock harvest event punishable by a mandatory 1 - 3 year prison sentence and mandatory $100,000.00- $250,000.00 fine which the majority of the rural people cannot pay. You see this is really about destroying a minority animal agriculture industry and taking the land away from the rural people through excessive fines placed on laws destroying farmers/ranchers lives over chickens the farmers/ranchers own.
The founder of UN Agenda 21 is former UN Secretary General and HSUS senior board member/advisor Maurice Strong. Maurice Strong has stated that his goal is (summarized here) "to use the UN to cause the collapse of America". He advocates using non-government organizations (like the HSUS) to implement the policies of agenda 21 at the federal, state and local levels. This amendment is the foundation of implementing Agenda 21 and putting animals and the environment above human lives at the federal level!
The Humane Society International is one of the UN accredited non-government organizations and is the umbrella organization of the HSUS which is part of the UN Agenda 21 effort to destroy our God-given constitutionally protected right to own, possess and harvest our livestock as they attempt to achieve Maurice Strong's stated goal "to cause the collapse of America”. This amendment is not really about saving chickens it is about destroying our animal agriculture industries and achieving Maurice Strong's goal of collapsing America.
Again I would like to thank you for your time and your attention. I ask that you please weigh the truth of this information very heavily because the cost of your decision in reality is our Constitution, freedom, America and the lives of any gamecock farmer and rancher that you send law enforcement officers out to force into compliance with this law and the cost of enforcing "any" law can result in killing those that do not agree with the law. Can you tell me here today how many game chickens equals one American gamecock farmer/rancher's life?
