The FDA is trying to possibly banned some or all of the extended release narcotic pain medications. This would be a huge disaster, with no relief in sight, ruining legitimate pain patients lives, relationships, jobs, and families. Everyone realizes there are some that try to abuse the system, but those people are going to abuse the system, buy off the streets, or however they can.
It would be insanity for those like myself, that suffer horrible Chronic Daily Pain. We need to act NOW, for all that already have a bad enough time getting their medications. Most people are legitimate, follow their specific guidelines, from their doctors, so why should we that are doing the right thing be punished, and have our quality of lives taken away from us? I urge you to sign this petition.
This is the URL to the American Pain Foundation. This site has all of the information you need for your decision. This is a genuinely serious situation that could destroy families, relationships, jobs and any quality of life for those who live in the nightmare of Chronic Daily Pain and Illness. The FDA is trying to potentially banned all type of extended release pain medications, such as oxycotin, Opana ER, and all that fall in the category of extended release narcotic pain medications. Please see the URL below for further information, and other ways you can help stop this insanity. Most of us that are legitimate Chronic Daily Pain patients do NOT abuse the system and follow our doctors guidelines. There is only a small minority that try to abuse the system, and they are trying to punish us, when we are doing the right thing to continue to have our quality of life, jobs, families, and live normally.

Urging the FDA, Congress, and the President to Stop This Ban on Prescription Pain Medications!
Dear Representative
At the expense of thousands of Chronic Pain Patients everywhere, I urge you to NOT allow the FDA to put a ban on any of the extended release pain medications that literally save lives, allow people to have a good quality of life, keep their jobs, make their relationships strong, raise their children, and put a roof over their head.
There are literally thousands of us that live in the nightmare of Chronic Horrible Daily Pain. Without our pain specialists, and our extended release medications, we would lose all quality of life, not be able to work, support families, keep relationships strong, and deal with daily life. Pain literally can take over your entire life. It renders you helpless and can destroy you entire being in its grips. The extended pain medications make our pain bearable. Nothing will ever completely take all of the pain away, unless new research comes up with better controls over pain.
Rather that even think about banning anything, we need more education, more research, better informed doctors and patients, plus their caretakers, rather than taking away the one thing that gives us our lives.
I speak for thousands here in the United States, and that number grows daily, when I say I have lived over half my life fighting the jaws of Chronic Pain and Illness. Those years rendered me to the place that I lost my jobs, and almost ruined my life due to not having my pain under control. I suffer from several Chronic Illnesses that cause my horrible pain, and I have ran the gamut of tests, doctors and medications. Finally, the severity of the pain took its toll before I could get the proper treatment, and has left me totally disabled.
Statistics show that the majority of people with legitimate Chronic Pain use their medications correctly, and go by their doctors rules, follow up appointments, and do NOT abuse the system. Why should we be punished due to a few that abuse it? Those are in the minority, even though at times the media surely makes it appear there are more than there are. They want to show the ugly side of narcotics, but they never show the incredible results of all of us that finally have our quality of life back due to our medications.
This is a very serious situation that could potentially destroy peoples lives.I urge you to help those like myself to continue the treatments that keep us alive, well, and able to keep our lives as normal as possible.
