I just signed the following petition addressed to: Alameda County Sheriff's Department.

Release incident report 11-012152

On July 31,2011 Duke a 4 year old pit bull was shot and killed by Alameda County Sheriff's officers. When questioned about why they were there the evening of the shooting officers gave one answer and then later changed it. Now they have refused to release copies of the police report. What are they hiding?
We need closure and to be able to move on with our lives but without answers about what happened that's not going to happen. If officers did something wrong they need to be held accountable and this can't just be something swept under the rug. Too many dogs have been shot by police whether its because of lack of training, fear of dogs, or just malicious behavior. We need to do something to stop it.
Please do your part and sign our petition to tell Alameda County Sheriffs department to release incident report 11-012152 to Mike Welch, the owner of the dog shot on July 31,2011.
