If we ban shark fin products we will have helped save ourselves. If sharks become extinct then there will be no apex predator to hunt the fish that eat plankton. If that happens then the plankton population will decline and even become extinct. This is a pressing matter. Plankton produces almost seventy percent of the air you are breathing right now.
