Too many drivers with Cooke City as their Snowmobile Capitol destination treat the north road of Yellowstone National Park as an impediment to their goal, tailgating visitors to Yellowstone National Park and endangering them in the process, causing those unfamiliar with the terrain to feel terrified and often run off the road as a result. More heinous still is the way they harass and assault the world's largest free-roaming Bison herd -- bumping them with their vehicles on icy roads that lead to leg fractures and eventual death, sounding horns and encroaching so close as to create panic among our iconic wild emblems during a time of year that means life or death for them. Signing this petition can send a message to Yellowstone National Park and Cooke City, Montana, letting them know that We the People will no longer stand by as the lives of humans are jeopardized as well as the lives of our treasured wild legacy.

The purpose of this petition is to raise awareness of this issue in the hope that specific steps will be taken cooperatively by Yellowstone National Park and the Cooke City Area Council to encourage safe and responsible driving across Yellowstone's North Road.
