Duke Energy operates 14 dirty coal-fired power plants in North Carolina, giving our state some of the dirtiest air in the country and causing thousands of asthma attacks, heart attacks and even deaths.

To pay for these dirty, old facilities, Duke Energy is raising our rates. Here in North Carolina, we are paying for the true cost of coal plants with our health, our environment and our energy bills.

We need to tell Duke that we refuse to pay increasingly higher rates for more dirty energy like coal-fired power plants and nuclear energy. They need to invest in clean energy and bring green jobs to North Carolina.
