Dr. Aurelia L. Curtis of Curtis High School has banned Danielle Coates--an award-winning honor student with a 90 average and no prior disciplinary actions- from graduation ceremonies due to false accusations. Danielle has been accused of forgery of documents to allow a banned student to attend prom as her date. However, Danielle never made any attempt to conceal her date's identity and she was unaware he was banned from prom. Her date later admitted total responsibility for any deception in his attending prom with Danielle.

There is a protest planned for Friday June 24th outside of the Curtis High School Field at 4pm - 7pm est (during Graduation Ceremonies) Many of Staten Islands Activist Community leaders and activist have pledged to come out in support of this effort.
