Everyone hates potholes, so let's do something about it!

It's simple really – by incorporating a life-cycle approach into our nation's infrastructure projects, the full costs can be accounted for at the start so that we can afford to build and maintain durable roads. That means better budgeting, better roads, and fewer potholes!

In this time of economic stress, every tax dollar spent must be scrutinized.  Life-cycle assessment is an innovative tool to make sure that tax dollars are spent wisely, and that important infrastructure projects stay on budget.  And that potholes stay in check.

U.S. Congressman John Mica, Chairman of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, recently launched a series of field hearings around the nation to hear the problems that plague our infrastructure.
