We can no longer stand by and be complacent as women candidates and elected officials are attacked for their gender.

The outrageous misogyny and disrespect coming from the likes of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are unacceptable and have no place in our society.

Beck and Limbaugh recently called Senator Mary Landrieu a "high-class prostitute." Read their full remarks here.

No longer will we be silent as anti-woman figures tear down our women leaders, using terms like "prostitute, whore, ice queen, and Jezebel."

Speak out against sexism and misogyny today and help us support our female public officials, who we so desperately need to guide our country.

The accompanying video is WCF President/CEO Siobhan "Sam" Bennett speaking out against the recent attacks against Martha Coakley, Sen. Olympia Snowe and Sen. Susan Collins. Sam describes her unfortunate encounter with blatant sexism during her Congressional race.

Stop your misogynistic and disrespectful attacks on women

Dear Misogynistic On-Air Personality

Your constant sexist attacks on women public figures are unacceptable. Berating a woman elected official based on her gender is hateful, disgusting, and disrespectful.

The term "prostitute" should never be used to describe a woman Senator. Your recent comments about Sen. Mary Landrieu were completely out of line and do nothing but poison our society's view of women. Your demeaning remarks are offensive not only to women, but to Congress and our country as well.

The use of misogynistic and stereotypical anti-woman language has no place on public air waves. I urge you to ask yourself: "How would I feel if someone was using the term 'prostitute' to describe one of my female relatives?"

It's clear that your opinion of women is low. However, the least you can do is show some respect to the people who have risen to federal public office in this country.
