Commercial Annual Seal Hunting, for most of the world is a very emotional issue we will never see valid reasons for.  Sadly for some, the mutilation of marine mammals in unspeakable and inhumane ways is an annual event seemingly not much different from the local county fall fair.

Up to 900,000 Newborn Seal Pups are beaten to death with clubs & hakapiks, most at just days old are mutilated by crushing their skulls then skinned for their penise & soft fur coats each year world wide.  Documented evidence has time & time again shown this beautiful & intelligent species suffer being skinned while very much still alive, crying in agony as they lay on the ice dying. 5 Countries with GOVERNMENT APPROVED SUPPORT, practice this completely inhumane annual event with few guideline differences.  The largest Offender of our Worlds Marine Mammal Population is Canada. Up to 380,000 are slaughtered on Canada's East Coast each spring and 98% are less than 90 days old. Those newborn pups not slaughtered but left orphaned suffer another agonizing death.  Nursing pups left behind to coddle a steaming bloody & unrecognizable carcass once known as their mother are left alone to starve and freeze to death, wander alone to drown or become a defenseless meal to predators they were not yet taught to protect themselves from.  This is considered humane by Government. This is no hunt at all but a slaughter, an abomination of the way things were intended to be and it must end. Beautiful and docile creatures who show no fear of humans as the fisherman storm the seal nurseries and wipe out most of the entire population. Seals would live and deserve to live the entire 35-40 Years of their life expectancy. With The rest of the world enraged we can stop this barbaric and unspeakable crime against nature.  We Need to start with the largest.  If we can end the Canadian Seal Hunt the smaller hunts around the world will inevidably follow.
