THE KILLING OF STRAY DOGS ON THE SEYCHELLES ISLANDS HAS TO STOP!

SUPPORT THIS PROTEST AGAINST ANIMAL CRUELTY BY SIGNING THE PETITION.

Every year thousands of tourists visit the Seychelles islands and think they are in paradise, but they are NOT! EVERY day stray dogs are brutally killed in order to control the numbers.

Poisoned meat is put out for the dogs and others are caught in traps and then poisoned, sometimes just beaten to death!! This is an extremely cruel death for the dogs. They fight for hours, sometimes for days, to survive and finally die a horribly painful death. The dead (who knows if they are completely dead..) dogs then get burned or simply thrown in the ocean!! This barbaric and inhuman act against helpless dogs has to stop ! ! !

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has done nothing on this issue for years!!

Desperate pleas from tourists to the authorities (Alain St. Ange, CEO of Seychelles Tourism Board as well as the Government) demanding that the killing of stray dogs be stopped immediately, are completely ignored!!

Let's take action! Sign this petition which will go direct to the Seychelles Government and Tourism Board.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: CEO of Seychelles Tourism Board and President of the Seychelles

STOP POISONING THE STRAY DOGS ON YOUR ISLANDS!

Every year thousands of tourists visit the Seychelles islands and think they are in paradise, but they are NOT! EVERY day hundreds of stray dogs are brutally killed in order to controll the numbers.
Poisoned meat is put out for the dogs and others are caught in traps and then poisoned! This is a extremely cruel death for the dogs. They fight for hours, sometimes for days to survive and finally die a horribly painful death. This cruel act against helpless dogs has to stop ! ! !

The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has done nothing on this issue for years!!

Until this day desperate pleas from tourists to the authorities (Seychelles Tourism Board as well as the Government) demanding that the killing of stray dogs be stopped immediately, are completely ignored.

This barbaric and inhuman act against helpless dogs has to stop ! ! !

WE the tourists do understand that too many stray animals can be problematic. Mr St.Ange, you must know there are humane ways of dealing with this problem and you must know that the tourists will never accept cruelty against animals! This will not be the last petition going around the world informing the tourists how brutal stray animals getting killed on your islands since many years now.
If you want tourism to flourish in the Seychelles you must stop this cruel act against helpless stray dogs immediately!

The killing of the stray dogs puts a VERY negative image on the Seychelles islands. Many tourists will refuse to go back until the killing of the animals has finally stopped. The island La Digue does not even have a Veterinary doctor! There is a humane way to solve the problem of dog overpopulation: The organization "World Vets" will come to spay and neuter the stray dogs and cats.

I join with many others worldwide to petition you: STOP the killing of the dogs! Only when this BARBARIC act against helpless dogs is stopped can the Seychelles become a real paradise!
