Stop Killing our Great Whites!

Stop Killing our Great Whites!
The issue
The W.A government is overriding a protection order against these apex predators. It has been shown through study that removing or reducing any apex predator in their environment will drastically affect the whole ecosystem for ever. The great white was offered protection due to its vulnerability. its numbers have slowly started to grow again and now the W.A government wants to outright kill them, if they are seen as a possible threat. Most people and their families who have been involved in a shark attack DO NOT want the shark to suffer as a consequence. Wake up W.A, this is not aceptable.
Ther Great white shark is protected internationally through a number of mechanisms. The white shark is listed on Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES) and also on Appendices I and II of the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS). These conventions limit trade and help reduce the number of sharks killed through commercial and recreational fishing activities.
