Stop Forced Registration of Sex Workers

Stop Forced Registration of Sex Workers

The Issue

Sex workers and sex worker rights supporters from around the world, are extremely concerned about the new Dutch Bill that forces individual sex workers to register themselves as prostitutes. We consider mandatory registration as stigmatizing and as a violation of the right to privacy of sex workers. Moreover, there is no evidence that mandatory registration of sex workers helps to combat abuses such as trafficking. The undersigned call on you to respect sex workers and sex workers rights and to vote against the law.
