False allegations of abuse waste tremendous amounts of resources and time that should be used in actual cases of abuse. False allegations destroy peoples lives costing them their families, jobs, savings, and often leading to time spent in jail. The psychological damage the children suffer from the examinations, interrogations, separation from parents is irreversible. More often then not the children are coached to lie to officials which in it self can and will cause tremendous feelings of guilt, stress, confusion, anger and not to mention the self esteem and confidence issues. Children loose all sense of security and structure in their lives.. It is proven that 4 out of 5 cases of child abuse are deemed false not unfoundedor unsubstantiated but false allegations intended to harm and harrass. 2.8 million false claims a year, because the reports commonly used as a method to gain an advantage in child custody disputes state attorneys tend to look at it as strictly a family court matter and elected not to follow through with the already established laws in regrds to false reporting.
