As the vegan population in America has doubled in only two years, vegans are carving out a market as well as a voice. It is time for all food and drink establishments to offer cruelty-free options that everyone, not just vegans, can enjoy. Starbucks should lead the way. In light of Starbuck's recent efforts to give itself a makeover, offering vegan scones, muffins, sandwiches, and a wider away of vegan beverages would be good for Starbucks bottom line as well as good for the animals and the planet.
