Declawing cats is 100% counter productive and cruel. It causes problems such as infection, pain, biting, going to the bathroom outside of this litter box, aggressive behaivior, etc. so far West Hollywood has been one of only 8 U.S. Cities to ban this, but it is illegal in places such as Australia and Germany, etc. for the reasons stated above. It should be on the forefront of animal cruelty as one of the only reasons it is still allowed is so veterinarians can make money off of it. It causes an extreme amount of animals to enter into the shelters and become euthanized due to lack of room and resources. Essentially, declawing is resulting in the unnecessary torture and death of tens of thousands of cats every year. Please help put a stop to this and sign and share this petition.
