Speak Out About Unfair Overdraft Fees

Speak Out About Unfair Overdraft Fees

The Issue

Until September 27th, one of the government agencies that oversees banks, the FDIC, wants to hear from you and the millions of others who think debit-card overdraft fees are unfair and costly.

Let the FDIC know that it should make banks do the following:

Actively contact customers who have had six debit-card based overdrafts within one year to let them know of lower-cost alternatives. Stop reordering the clearing of transactions to drive up fees.

Let the FDIC know what you think of unfair and abusive debit-card overdraft fees.
