Because the Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Animal Lovers, Animal Care and Control Centers in these cities need the residents of Baldwin Park and El Monte to take responsibility of spaying/neutering their dogs, cats & rabbits so that they will quit discarding them on the streets without food, water and the love of someone who cares. Also, they need to take an ownership responsibility to spay/neuter their pets so that the Animal Care and Control in Baldwin Park that handles these two areas can become a no kill facility. I am a Volunteer at the Baldwin Park Animal Care and Control that sees endless dogs, cats, rabbits, etc entering this shelter on a daily basis. Even though some of the animals do get adopted out to forever homes, most do not and are euthanized because there is so many coming thru the doors at the shelter daily and there are so many Staff, Volunteers, outside animal organizations helping to get these animals adopted. Please help by signing this petition to get Baldwin Park and El Monte started in the right direction to help our pets have better and healthier lives. The following information is off of the LACounty.gov website for Animal Care and Control Frequently Asked Questions: The false statement of every animal should give birth at least once is not right because your pet will be healthier as spaying and neutering prevents certain diseases and cancers, also spaying and neutering can save you money in pet licensing fees, go to the lacounty.gov website for animal care and control to check out how much you can save by spaying/neutering your pet. The spaying and neutering of our pets also stops unwanted cats/dogs/rabbits into the world which are eventually taken to the shelter or abandoned. Please Baldwin Park/El Monte, quit coming to the Baldwin Park Animal Care and Control Center and dumping your pets in our driveway because you don't want to pay a few dollars to turn your animal safely over to us, this happens to often. Your dog or cat can be spayed two weeks after the puppies or kittens have stopped feeding off of their mother or approximately 8 to 10 weeks.
