Enforce harsher sentences for Dog Fighting and Animal Cruelty

Enforce harsher sentences for Dog Fighting and Animal Cruelty
The Issue
Pitbull fighting in this country has escalated out of control. The syndicates are worth millions and are extremely dangerous. They intimidate and threaten everyone, and even bribe officials. Even though people want to speak up, they are afraid to.
These abused pitbulls are trained from very young to fight for their lives and are treated in unspeakable ways to install aggression in them. They are born with a death sentence, and are abused every day of their lives. Pitbulls have been given a bad name by these "people". Thousands and thousands suffer under their hands. They are so loyal to their owners that they will fight to the death for them.
These innocent dogs are trained to fight by practicing on live "bait". "Bait" is the term used to refer to animals, including our pets, that are stolen on an extremely large scale. They have their mouths tapped shut, ropes tied to them, and are thrown into danger helplessly to be ripped apart for the sake of "training". Younger dogs being trained to fight will be forced to kill kittens and smaller dogs, leading up to the finale, where our stolen pitbulls are the final training tool for breed-on-breed attack.
We need task forces. Animal welfare organizations need more rights to confiscate and take initiative, and need more funding. The laws need to favor anti-cruelty more. Cruelty acts need harsher sentencing that needs to be taken seriously. Animal cruelty is on the rise, and consequences have to be set into place: Jail sentences, large fines, follow-ups need to be enforced, and prohibiting ex-offenders from owning animals, to mention only a few.
We want to be heard and we want to be heard NOW! This can NOT continue. All of our animals are in danger. Syndicates are breaking into homes to steal dogs, and have scouts patrolling residential areas gathering information. Sign the petition below to help put an end to the sickening, horrific, heartless murder and abuse of so many beautiful animals.
