Despite the use of various tracks from the game series, the differences between many tracks is visible. For me and many fans it is important that the composer's, Jeff Danna's, arrangement skills be admired and recognised. Many people really want to hear and enjoy the film versions of the tracks, not just the games. In addition, there are new songs included as well, such as the organ melody during the massacre at the church. Not to mention that Silent Hill Revelation 3D's soundtrack was released, so why not the 1st film's too? The probable answer is that it included more original melodies, but still, in my opinion and many others', this soundtrack deserves to be enjoyed as well.
