Senior citizens being punished for taking early retirement in two ways:  they have to take a cut in benefits and second they are restricted to the amount of money they can earn until full retirement age.  This must be changed

Dear Representative

If you opt to take early retirement the Social Security Adm. penalizes you by decreasing the amount of your retirement benefit. Then they top that off by restricting the amount of money that you can make per year, thus keeping you at a poverty level. We, as senior citizens, have earned the right to retire early and take the decrease in benefits. We should not be limited to the amount of money that we make if we continue to work mainly because we are still paying Social Security. This law should be changed and allow those seniors that take a cut in Social Security benefits to make as much as they can or if you limit the amount double it. Do not keep them in the poverty level.
