Evaristo Solano--given his inspiring turn-around story of transformation from delinquent youth to thriving community member and role model to other migrant youth--is a rare asset to our community in Skagit County. We do not want him to be deported for his theft conviction at an Am/PM convenience store when he was 18, five years ago. We community leaders together ask the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to forgive Evaristo's past offense--vacating the felony charge and thus preserving this hopeful example of change we so need in our community.
