Open Source the IRIX Interactive Desktop

The Issue

As a user - or former or potential user - of the IRIX Interactive Desktop, I believe there would be a benefit to releasing the source code to the IRIX Interactive Desktop under an OSI approved license. I humbly request that you, SGI investigate this possibility and use your best efforts to accomplish this goal.
