We urge Sharan Burrow, General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation, the largest Union of the world with aproximately 175 million members, to incorporate in the international labor movement, the fight for the 4 Hour Work-Day and to call for a peaceful and democratic Gobal Strike to achieve this historic victory.

We keep hearing about budget cuts and austerity to get out of this economic hole, when in reality that will just make things worse. Reducing the work day to 4 hours, WITHOUT REDUCING INCOME, will provide a solution to the world economic crisis by achieving full employment and increase aggregate demand, which will make the engines of the economy move again. Full employment will also end poverty, by giving everyone the possibility of finding a job with decent income. It will also stabilize the rate of profit for businesses and will also lead the path into No-Growth economic model, which our environment desperately needs.
