Restore Livefeed Functionality To Scratch Live Version 2.4 And Above

Restore Livefeed Functionality To Scratch Live Version 2.4 And Above
The Issue
Please support this petition to Serato Audio Research, to have them restore the Livefeed capability in Serato Scratch Live, the most widely-used DJ software program.
Livefeed is : (from their website)
""LiveFeed allows you to stream the mic input to a Virtual Deck. You can then instantly play the recording back just like a normal audio file - you can scratch it, speed it up, slow it down, set loops and set cue points. There are two recording options, normal and gated. The normal option means recording will begin as soon as the deck starts playing. The gated option means recording will only begin once the input source exceeds the set gate level (thus avoiding periods of silence). The amount of time available to record is determined by your audio cache setting. The track overview display shows the amount of usable audio you have to play with from the recording. Click anywhere in the track overview display to jump to your desired position in the recording.""
Livefeed can also be used to input any line-level or microphone source. You can run an iPod into the aux input and have it available INSTANTLY on your virtual deck, ready to manipulated with time-coded vinyl or CD.
Livefeed is perhaps most useful in a live-show or showcase setting. When a DJ performs with a vocalist or rap artist (or saxophonist, ANYTHING) they have the option to input that performance DIRECTLY to a deck, ready to be scratched and chopped up instantly !! This is an advanced technique that is probably not used by the MAJORITY of DJ's, however there are MANY different kinds of DJ's that use Scratch Live's various features.
By signing this petition you are helping all DJ's who use Scratch Live send a message to Serato Audio Research that it is not good practice to ADD, and then REMOVE (with no warning), such a ground-breaking and very useful feature as Livefeed. Please restore Livefeed in Scratch Live for all compatible Rane DJ Mixers now and in the future.
Some other features have been removed and then added back to Scratch Live, such as the MixTape feature when using The Bridge, and compatibility with third-party VJ software, Inklen's Mix Emergency. These are two recent examples where the user community voiced their disappointment with the removal and/or compatibility of important features, and Serato Audio Research heard our plea and responded by re-enabling those features. Let's hope this happens again in this case. DJ's who are pushing the envelope of djing and live-performance art ABSOLUTELY need this capability, and with the latest Rane hardware and version of Serato Scratch Live (Rane 62 only supports version 2.4 and up)
Serato Audio Research PLEASE restore Livefeed capability to your next possible public beta or update to Scratch Live !!
Sincerely,
LOYAL SERATO USERS
