Separate Corporate from State

Separate Corporate from State
The Issue
The 1st Amendment to the Constitution gives us protection of Freedom of Speech and separation of Church and State. The principle of separation of Church and State is based on protecting the individual from undo and unfare influence that organizations and groups can exert. Politics to propaganda through meetings to media is a variation of free speech, but when organizations have the wealth to buy huge media buys, lobby congress or elected officials, and take the role of authorities representing their own special interests, these activities are a violation of Separation of Church and State. Today this is not enforced, with respect to religion, and certainly not enforced or even defined as Separation of Corporate and State.
Today Corporations have as much power or even more than religions and churches ever had. Corporate influence on our government, elections, media both print and broadcasting is very powerful and people have very little to do with content, outcome, or consequences of laws, elections, and communications. These public avenues of how people should be represented by their government, informed by the media, and setting policy direction to going to war, not to mention corporations count the votes in our elections, are all reasons and evidence that we are losing and for generations have lost control of the democratic process in the U.S.
Our energy policy is set by oil and coal companies. Insurance companies set our health care policies, to chemicals in our food is controlled by chemical industries as spinoff companies from the petrochemical and pharmacetical corporations. We are passive players in a run away corrupt capitalist corporate based governed society. Copratocracy and the owners of corporations comprise the plutocratic International Corporations and are establishing the directions the world has to follow.
Isn't time we Separate Corporate from State?
