As I hope everyone is aware of, President Obama promised to end the "revolving door" policy that has helped give lobbyists unhealthy influence over US lawmaking.  Now the President's nomination of Isi Siddiqui to be the chief agricultural negotiator in the office of the US Trade Representative makes a mockery of his promise.  Siddiqui is vice president for science and regulatory affairs at CropLife America, C.L.A., a branch of a powerful worldwide lobby whose members include Dow AgroSciences, Monsanto, and DuPont. C.L.A. is the pro-pesticide group that organized a protest of the lack of "crop protection products", pesticides, in the organic White House garden.  The Senate must defeat the nomination of Siddiqui, now.
