Senate confirm Dawn Johnson, now

The Issue

President Obama has nominated Dawn Johnson as head of the Office of Legal Counsel. Because of her strong track record on civil rights issues, Senate conservatives have targeted her for defeat.  For eight years, conservative appointees at the Department of Justice have been lukewarm on rights and fairness for minorities. It is time to reverse the erosion of constitutional liberties.
