Animals are living breathing creatures as well as humans are & if you kill a person you get the death penalty or whatnot, but it's unfair that people only get a slap on the wrist if you abuse or kill an innocent animal. They don't deserve that at all. I feel that if the law was harsher on people for doing things to animals then maybe it will stop them from doing it. It's important to me because I'm an animal lover & want to save them. Recently there was a Centre County man 47 yrs old who let his poor dog freeze to death on his doghouse floor when we had record lows in the negative digits.
