Unitarian Universalist Congregations all over the Commonwealth of Massachusetts serve those most at risk in some way. We see first hand the impact that the economic down turn has had on people in our community. We see the increased numbers standing in line at our food pantries and soup kitchens, we see more individuals and families looking for housing assistance and we see more people in our homeless shelters.
We ask you to stand with us in love with those most at risk and use your position on the Super Committee to ensure we do not balance our budgets on their backs. Stand with us & Stand strong: Demand shared responsibility. Protect Medicaid and Medicare; don't shift costs to states and the seniors, people living with disabilities and children who rely on these programs.
