Section 8 system is a failure for most low income families. If you have no car, no reliable transportation, not on the busline, you are set up to fail. No matter what you try to do to get ahead it never seems to be enough. I witnessed several low income mother's being turned away because of something or another at our appointment including myself. Mother's just coming from the hospital, mother's taking meds and need something to drink and her daughter had to go get something for her but her daughter's income is what they required, just women having a hard time trying to get there at certain time when traffic is at it's peak 8 am. Now that we have experienced a flood traffic is crazy, people are stuck in a rut without relief insight. Mother's in need in Cobb County.
