"We challenge SeaWorld to debate these issues with our teams in a public forum, which we will be happy to arrange. Throughout the production and theatrical release of “Blackfish,” SeaWorld has refused to directly engage with the film or its points in any public way, despite repeated invitations. Instead of releasing more PR spin, written statements and online critiques (which often allow no comments), we encourage SeaWorld’s leaders to step forward and address these issues openly and honestly in public debate. Let the public hear both sides of the argument (as we have always desired) and draw their own conclusions."
 

If enough people want to see it and there is demand for it why would they refuse? the public is their audience, would they ignore them? if so, what would that say? This is their chance once and for all to lay it all out on the line in an open forum. A similar debate took place with Phillip Wollen called "Animals Should Be Off The Menu" Debate. If there are so many "lies" out there, why would they not accept? This is something the public wants and their refusal to accept only brings up more questions surrounding Seaworld. They claim to "not want to give Blackfish anymore attention" but its not even about that at this point. The public is concerned for the well-being of the animals in seaworlds care and for that alone they should be willing to address the issues with the other side present and with the public watching.
