The American Heritage School has an Honor Code Statement requesting that the person "understand that homosexual activity is a serious sin, and that if I find myself struggling with same-gender attraction, I will seek counsel from my parents and bishop."

Considering "homosexuality" as a problem is strongly discouraged by reputable organizations such as the American Psychological Association, American Counseling Association and the American Psychiatric Association.

The bible teaches that "Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself" and clearly considers "hate" and "judgment" a sin and immoral.

Request that this statement be removed from the Honor Code Statement, as well as the addition of sexual orientation and gender identity be added to their current non-discrimination policy and notice.
