We, the voters of New York State,  DID NOT ELECT A KING, We are against the formation of a Facility Task Force to decide which prisons should be closed

 and how to eliminate 3500 beds in our prison system.

For years we had a Prison Closure Commission that you the taxpayers paid for. 

 Their findings were ignored for political reasons.

The job to determine what to do with our system belongs to the Governor, the Commissioner

of Corrections and then the final say should be the New York State Legislature who you are already paying ,and you elect.

Please join us and sign our petition to say  NO TO ANY OUTSIDE FORMATION OF A PRISON TASK FORCE.

One Year Facility Closure Notification Law. This law was enacted in 2005. 
Should you feel that a facility should be closed it allows for a fair and equitable method of closure. It does not prevent the closure of a facility.
