04/09/11 - The FCC Resolution of 2010♥ that protects us from corporate control of the Internet is under attack.
The House just passed a "Resolution Disapproval" dys-empowering the FCC to crack down on corporate censorship of the Internet.
Let the Senate know that you want the FCC to have the power to regulate corporate monopolies of the Internet and to protect a FREE Internet.

I find it reassuring and interesting reading, unlike most of the Bills in Congress these days.

Vote NO on "Resolution Disapproval" of FCC-10-201A1

Greetings,

We the undersigned fully support the FCC-10-201A1 Resolution for the regulation of the corporate Internet monopolies. The FCC got it EXACTLY RIGHT. This is one of the BEST decisions of recent times, namely:

I. PRESERVING THE FREE AND OPEN INTERNET
1. . . . To provide greater clarity and certainty regarding the continued freedom and openness of the Internet, we adopt three basic rules that are grounded in broadly accepted Internet norms, as well as our own prior decisions:
i. Transparency. . . .
ii. No blocking. . . .
iii. No unreasonable discrimination. . . .

THIS Resolution is the issue, not whether or NOT OTHER FCC regulations are good or bad.
The argument that govt regulation is bad for freedom of expression in this case does not apply.
If corporate Internet monopolies were given free reign without oversight, "THEY" would be the ones who "regulate" the Internet - and we have seen plenty of "proof" that corporate monopolies do not give a bleep about anyone or anything else besides controlling govt, avoiding accountability, sucking up more money and killing all competition at any cost.

We call on you, as our representatives, to vote NO on the "Resolution Disapproval" of the FCC-10-201A1 Resolution.
Anything less is a betrayal of the American people, a betrayal of your oaths of office and a betrayal of the Free Speech principles upon which our country was founded.

Special thanks to all who are already pursuing this path!
Your influence on your colleagues with respect to this issue is vital at this time.
