Save Sweden's Ancient Forest

Save Sweden's Ancient Forest

The Issue

The Verles old growth forest in Sweden is an 82-hectacre space of natural beauty and animal habitat. But its owner is planning to log this spectacular space - unless a grassroots group called "A Click for the Forest" can raise enough funds to buy the forest.

A home to 52 different bird species including the cuckoo, black grouse and owl, the Verles forest is an important part of Sweden's ecosystem - and your help can save it. A Click for the Forest is partnering with sponsors to enable you to help their cause by simply clicking; your click will cause a donation to be made toward the cause to save the forest.

...please take a moment to help save the Verles forest!  (The above came straight from www.care2.com, it was a daily action.)

All you have to do is click on the link below and then click on the green oval in the center of the screen.  You may click every day until March 19th.  Could you take a moment to help?

Carolyn TurnerPetition StarterIf I am not part of the solution, I am part of the problem. It's just that simple. When I am old and my son questions me about whether or not I did my part to make his world a more sustainable place for all species to survive, I need to know that I will be able to reply, "Yes, and aside from waiting until my 30's to have you, this is what I did..." So, I educated myself, planted 150+ trees, put up bluebird boxes, started growing some of our own food, and started putting my money where my mouth is. More powerful sometimes than our voice, is the impact we make by how we spend our money. I buy organic, all natural, and as local as possible. I compost, recycle, voice my opinion to my elected officials, boycott, educate, and learn. I actively seek information and new ideas for small lifestyle changes that I can make to further reduce my family's negative impact a little more every month.
