SAVE THE JSA!
SAVE THE JSA!
The Issue
DC Comics has announced a bold plan to relaunch 52 comic books renumbered with #1, as well as data/date digital comics. Some books are existing titles, while some are new titles. One of the main omissions from the announced plan is a book featuring the first super-team in comic book history: the Justice Society of America, or JSA. First appearing in 1940, the JSA fought theats at home and abroad during World War II, and they've fought the good fight ever since, whether against intergalactic threats, time-traveling despots, or evil magicians. They've also served as a training group for young heroes who want to learn from the most experienced heroes in the DCU.
The loss of a title featuring this team is a shame given their long and rich history. It's a slap in the face of comic fans who've cherished this team for years. We want to tell DC Comics and their leadership staff including Dan Didio, Bob Harras, Jim Lee, and Geoff Johns, that this team deserves their own title, that there is an audience for this book.
