The population of Barred Owls in Oregon has little to do with the low population of Spotted Owls. Killing the Barred Owl will not increase the amount of habitat available to Spotted Owls whose population is limited by the loss of old growth forests. Not only would this action be expensive and futile, the ramifications of killing these owls is not understood. Don't shoot first and ask questions later.
