Save Symphony Woods Trees

Save Symphony Woods Trees
The Issue
They want to "revitalize" and "utilize" Symphony Woods with an open plaza, a huge amusement fountain and wide paved roads through the woods. They want to cut down 53 mature trees. They say there will be "lots of trees" left. Alternative plans exist for creating a unique park with meandering pathways that connect amenities and honor the natural woods as designated by Columbia Founder James Rouse, while preserving all healthy trees and allowing the wood to be a picturesque reminder of what the area was like before so much development took place in Columbia. Please sign this petition to preserve the trees and protect this fragile environment in the heart of Columbia.
